  3. New Life Center For Recovery is.. A ministry of Greater New Life Christian Center- An American Baptist Church affiliated with TABCOM. Licensed by BSAS- State of Massachusetts to provide clinical substance abuse individual and group counseling, along with co-occurring disorders . We currently are able to bill through Mass Health- Mass Behavioral Health Partnership and Health New England and are working to expand our insurance panels.

  5. Covenant House is . A Christian, Faith-based affordable housing initiative targeting sober adult women in recovery, who are in need of a structured environment providing continued support. Residents will covenant (partner) with NLCR to work towards their individual goals, ultimately leading to independent living. There is no time limit to live at NLCR Covenant House.

  9. Intake Process Turn application in. Once reviewed, an intake appointment will be scheduled. Intake appointment held with administrative staff. Emphasis upon criteria of: current sobriety, ability to pay membership dues, ability to live in a group communal environment and openness to faith- based approach to recovery. Urine screen may be requested. After staff consultation, a prayerful decision is made as to whether we feel the person is appropriate for the house. A verbal response will be given within one week. If accepted, a date will be set to review house guidelines and to move in.

  10. Covenant House Support Services Include.. Case Management- Individual Progress Plan Community Service Individual Counseling Life Skills-Budgeting, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Communication, Household maintenance, etc. Referral to Community Resources Recovery Group Discipleship & Spiritual Enrichment- Bible Study, Worship, mentors Educational Planning/Tutoring Health & Wellness Peer Support Pastoral and Church Support House Meeting

  11. Discipleship & Spiritual Enrichment Some women come with Christian experience and some come with very little faith but are open to learn. Our hope is that each woman have a saving faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and seek to live a life of faith. Residents must attend worship and bible study every week. They receive a bible upon intake and prayer in each meeting. Many join the church and become active in the life of the church.

  12. Health and Wellness After years of abuse, it is important for those in recovery to establish good health care practices to strengthen their body. Referrals are made to doctors, dentists & psychiatrists. Nutrition and Fitness are also encouraged and taught.

  13. Case Management Residents meet with the Program Director to develop an Individual Progress Plan which entails setting goals with each resident to be reviewed periodically for re-evaluation and assessment for growth

  14. Life Skills Many of the women need support in learning how to budget their meager resources. Basic Skills such as cooking ,cleaning, laundering are residents responsibility. Some women are in need of education in these areas.
