The Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure is leading the EUREKA project to enhance maritime safety in the Adriatic-Ionian region through harmonization of procedures and regulations. The project aims to address challenges in data exchange, surveillance systems, and training of VTS operators across multiple maritime administrations.

REPUBLIC OF CROATIA Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Maritime Safety Directorate WHAY WE NEED EUREKA PROJECT? seven different maritime administrations are responsible for the maritime safety in the AI the data exchange between national VTMISs is not harmonized the current Mandatory Ship Reporting System is outdated the level of the development of a surveillance system is currently uneven the fact that IT, EL, SI, and HR are member countries of the EU, while countries such as AL, ME, and BA are not the issue of diversification and unevenness in the work and training of VTS operators in the AI countries
