  4. WHAT INSPIRED HER? *Amelia Earhart wasn t afraid to break down barriers. *In 1928 she was the first woman to fly as a passenger across the Atlantic Ocean. *Then in 1932 she became the first woman to pilot a plane across that ocean.

  5. *FUN FACTS ABOUT AMELIA EARHART! *1. Amelia Earhart wasn t so impressed the first *time she saw a aeroplane. *2. Amelia Earhart was a good student but had no patience for school. Another pioneering female aviator taught Amelia Earhart how to fly. *3. Amelia Earhart bought her first plane within six6 months of taking her first flying lesson. She named it the canary.
