  1. European Languages Day 2021 European Idioms Quiz: Bolton School (Girls Division)

Working in pairs or groups of 3, look at the following idioms (a phrase which means one thing literally but another altogether think It s raining cats and dogs ) and decide on the correct English translation each time. The idioms are all taken from European languages You will only have 30 seconds to make up your mind for each idiom. There are four possible answers to choose from. At the end of the quiz, swap papers with another team to mark. Are you ready?
