Don't cry over spilt milk You shouldn't worry about something that has already happenned and there's nothing you can do about it anymore "You just have to move on now, don't cry over spilt milk." Get your act together Do better work I need to get my act together before it's too late. Get something out of your system Do something so you can contiune in your life I wanted to help my friend so she can get something out of her system.
Hang in there Don't give up "I know you are tired but hang in there. Miss the boat Be late "I told you to wake me up so I don't miss the boat" Break a leg Good luck "I told her to break a leg even though I know she is the winner"
A penny for your thoughts Tell me what you are thinking about. All I wanted to say were "a penny for your thoughts" but I couldn't. Spill the tea Tell secrets We always spill the tea when we see eachother. It's a piece of cake Easy I thought it would be a piece of cake but I was wrong.
There is no such thing as free lunch Nothing is free She thought it would be that easy but there is no such thing as free lunch Hit the sack Go to sleep We were done for the day so it was time to hit the sack. Call it a day Stop the work My boss finally said we could call it a day.
The elephant in the room Big broblem No one wanted to bring up that elephant in the room Pull yourself together relax She needed my help but all I could say was "pull yourself together" The whole nine yards Everything The whole nine yards were going wrong but I decided to smile.
Live and learn I made a mistake My best life advice I can give to you is to live and learn. The best of both worlds Ideal situation We were all together and it was the best of both worlds. You can say that again I agree "Don't worry sweetie it is not dumb you can say that again."
Under the weather Be sick I have a big day next week but I'm under the weather right now. We will cross that bridge when we come to it Let's not talk about it yet " I don't think you need to worry because we will cross that bridge when we come to it." It's not rocket science It's not that complicated We all know it's not rocket science.
Break a leg Good luck When I was going to my driving test my mom said me break a leg. Cutting corners Do something not properly Why are you cutting corners when you could just do it properly? Get out of hand Get out of control The party I had yesterday got out of hand.
Get your act together Stop messing around Get your act together and start doing your homework. Having second thoughts Chancing your opinion or starts to doubt it I'm having second thoughts about the trip we are going next week. Around the corner Something is about to happen Christmas is around the corner, I can't wait.
It's not rocket science It's not so complicated The listening part in the exam was not a rocket science. Miss the boat Be late for something You should get going already, otherwise you will miss the boat. Pull yourself together Calm down You have to pull yourself together before you start doing that.
Break the ice Get people to relax The teacher broke the ice by telling a funny joke for the new class. Piece of cake IIt's easy Winning that game was a piece of cake. It's raining cats and dogs It's raining really hard Im not going out today it's raining cats and dogs.
Get a taste of your own medicine Have the same unpleasant experience as the one who has given to someone She did me so dirty I hope that she gets a taste of her own medicine. Once in a blue moon Something happens rarely She goes to school on time once in a blue moon. Saving for a rainy day Saving something for future needs. I m going to save this extra money for a rainy day.
So far so good Things are going good so far Baking this chocolate cake is going so far so good. Time flies when you are having fun You don't notice how fast time goes when you are doind something fun. The time flew when we were having fun in the pool party last weekend. Add insult to injury Make bad situation worse I accidentally added insult to injury when I brought up my bad grades.
Give a cold shoulder Ignore someone I gave him a cold shoulder because I was angry for him. There are other fish in the sea It's okay to miss opportunities others will show up I didn't get to my dream school, luckily there are other fish in the sea. Better late than never It is better to arrive late than not to come at all "Oh, you came, better late than never!"
Cutting corners Doing something not so well that you could save money or time "They cutted some corners whilst building this fence" No pain no gain You have to work hard for a thing that you want "You must train hard for muscles, no pain no gain!"
