  2. Parts of the House vocabulary 1. Bedroom: a room used for sleeping. 2. Bathroom: a room equipped with a bathtub or shower and usually a sink and toilet. 3. Garden: a plot or area of ground, usually near a house, where flowers, shrubs, vegetables, fruits, or herbs are grown. 4. Kitchen: a room or place equipped for cooking or preparing food and washing dishes 5. Dining room: a room in which meals are eaten. 6. Living room: a room in a home used by the members of the family for leisure activities, entertaining guests, etc. 7. Garage: a building or indoor area for parking or storing motor vehicles.

  4. Furniture vocabulary In the bedroom 1. Wardrobe (guardaropa): a piece of furniture or a closet for keeping or storing clothes. 2. Window (ventana): an opening in a building, vehicle, etc., for letting in air or light. 3. Bed (cama): a piece of furniture on which one sleeps or rests 4. Pillow (almohada): a cloth bag or case filled with feathers or other soft material, used to cushion the head during sleep or rest In the bathroom. 5. Toilet: a large bowl with a water-flushing device for getting rid of body wastes. 6. Bathtub(ba era): a large, long container to sit in while bathing. 7. Shower(ducha): a bath in which water is sprayed on the body from above 8. Towel(toalla): a cloth or paper that absorbs liquids, used for wiping and drying 9. Sink(lavadero): a basin for washing 10.Mirror(espejo): a reflecting surface, usually of glass with a silvery backing 11.Toothbrush(cepillo de dientes): a small brush with a long handle, for cleaning the teeth

Kitchen sink(fregadero cocina): a sink in a kitchen for washing dishes, vegetables, etc 14. Kettle(tetera): a pot, usually of metal, with a spout, handle, and lid used mainly to boil water. 15. Oven(horno) a small box-shaped area with a door, as a part of a stove, for baking, roasting, heating, or drying. 16. Fridge(refrigerador): a room or large appliance in which food, drink, etc., is kept cool esp. by means of mechanical refrigeration. 17. Freezer(congelador): a refrigerator, refrigerator compartment, held at or below 32 F (0 C), used especially for freezing food 18. Toaster(tostador) : an appliance for toasting bread, muffins, etc. In the living room 19. Television: a device for receiving television broadcasts 20. Lamp: a device that provides artificial light, as by electricity 21. Bookshelf(librero): a shelf for holding books 22. Coffee table: a low table, usually placed in front of a sofa 23. Sofa: a long upholstered couch with a back and two arms or raised ends
