The Quality accounts for 2022-2023 have been published, focusing on the Quality objectives for 2023-24. Despite setbacks due to computer system issues and increased service demands, progress has been made on all 10 objectives. Recommendations include supporting the ongoing work and addressing challenges with information measurement.   1. Council of Governors Meeting 7th December 2023 Quality Account update on Quality Priority Objectives Assurance and Update

  2. Summary The Quality accounts for 2022-2023 have been published. This report is about the Quality objectives for 2023-24. There are 10 Quality aims for 2023-24 they were published in June 2023. The report shows the progress towards these aims by 31st October. There has been progress made on all 10 objectives. Progress has been slower due to problems with computer systems from August 2022. Many services have been facing big demands for their services which has slowed progress on the aims.

  3. Recommendation The council is asked to : Comment on the plans. Support the work being done to achieve the aims. The council needs to be aware that the computer system problems has reduced the information the Trust has to measure : work to reduce pressure damage /lower leg wound care. Outcomes in mental health services. We are not able to enter information for national CQUINS. We are unable to enter data about patient tobacco Dependency due to new computer system problems. The integrated care board is aware of the computer system problems and receive: A monthly update on the progress Rose Hombo, Deputy Director of Quality

  4. Type of aim Aim CQUINS Quality Priority Service Progress Update Mental Health To reduce the use of restrictive interventions. Trust Wide Introduce new patient safety framework. Physical Health Management of pressure damage/lower leg wound treatment.

  5. Type of aim Aim CQUINS Quality Priority Service Progress Update Trust wide Sepsis: To develop robust systems across trust to support all staff. Trust wide Supporting staff wellbeing and Resilience. Mental Health To measure and capture outcomes in our mental health services .

  6. Type of aim Aim CQUINS Quality Priority Service Progress Update Mental Health Improve the physical Healthcare of people with serious mental illness. -Cardiovascular Assessment , monitoring and healthy lifestyle advice . Trust wide To embed personalised care planning . Aim for care plans to be developed with patients to improve care.

  7. Type of aim Aim CQUINS Quality Priority Service Progress Update Trust wide Improve working with families by embedding Triangle of care across the Trust. Trust wide Use Patients experience and feedback to improve services.

  8. What difficult words/terms mean Quality accounts Good reporting. Assurance To be safe Sepsis To be sick/poorly

  9. Safety Making sure patients and staff are safe. Effectiveness How much care helped people's health improve . Experience What patients think about the care they get. CQUINS Commissioning for Quality and Innovation. These are aims which commissioners give NHS Trusts to achieve . They can be linked to more funding for the service.

  10. On Target We should reach goal on time. Quarter 3 (Q3) October to December Quarter 4 Q4 January to March Q3 and Q4 October to March
