If you chose fast food, you re right. The expression fast food seems natural, but quick food sounds strange to native speakers. However, quick sounds right with other words: quick meal or a quick shower. Why? No one really knows for sure. It s just how native speakers say it. ( ) They believe hot onion milk improves blood circulation and makes the body warm. ( ) Do you know why?( ) It s because viruses that cause colds are weak in the heat. ( ) However, viruses become very active when our bodies are cold. ( ) That s why colds spread more easily in winter. As you can see in the above examples, the most common cure for colds is to heat the body.
