The Bread from Heaven John 6:28-40 Jesus was referring to Himself as the one God has sent. A miracle will never cause anyone to believe. The Word of God is bread that gives life, not physical manna. God links bread to a life that remembers all God has done to redeem us. Deuteronomy 8:3 Deuteronomy 16:3
Recipe of Eternal Life John 6:41-47 No one can know the truth about Jesus unless God reveals it. The best way to experience salvation is to live out belief in your actions. Jews remove leaven at Passover, we need to remove sin and distraction in Christ our Passover. 1 Corinthians 5:8
Symbolism not Cannibalism John 6:48-59 When you eat or drink you get energy from it and it builds up your muscles. Living forever begins now.
Sifting the Wheat John 6:60-71 If I profess with loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except that little point which the world and the Devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. We must not fear division over defending Biblical principles. When truth is threatened, standing for truth is essential.
Communion For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord s death until he comes. Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other 1 Corinthians 11:26-33
