Sentence A sentence is a group of words that express a complete thought . EX : Tom is going to meeting. Robert was a good king . My brother speak loudly
Fragment A fragment is a group of words that does Not express a complete thought . Ex : Around the Ex : Do you
There are 4 types of sentences. 1. Declarative 2.Interrogative 3.Imperative 4.Exclamatory
Declarative. A declarative sentence is a sentence that make a statement . Ex : I saw a rainbow over the lake. Ex : I forgot to wear a hat today.
Interrogative ? An Interrogative sentence is a sentence that ask a question and always end with a question mark and often begin with interrogative pronouns (who, what, when, how) Ex : What is your name ? Ex : Do you want something to eat? Ex : How are you ?
Imperative Imperative sentences are sentences used to give a request , invitation , offer advice , direct command or instructions . Ex : complete the task by noon . Ex : Go to your home .
Exclamatory ! An exclamatory sentence is a sentence that is said with a strong feeling or emotions. Note : Always end with exclamation mark Ex : You did such a wonderful job ! Ex : ! Happy birthday , my friend
