This program entails annual shop safety inspections to identify and address findings based on priority levels. Inspections are conducted, reports submitted, and corrections tracked diligently through the UC Inspect application. Metrics are presented quarterly to Unit Leadership and AVC/Assistant Dean. The process includes scheduling, conducting inspections, reporting findings, and ensuring timely closure. EHS staff coordinates with Responsible Persons to schedule inspections and escalates unresolved findings if necessary. The inspection checklist covers Fire and Life Safety, Machine guarding, Training Records, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Chemical Safety & Storage, Housekeeping, and Pressurized Cylinder Safety.
