  1. Paving Roads to Success Novice Teacher Induction and Mentoring Partnership

Mentor Teacher Training (Mentor Allotment Program Grant recipients) Transformational Teacher Institute: Mentor teachers will set the stage for professional expectations during this mentoring period. They will explore behavior and language that fosters a positive culture and promotes trust and rapport among the collaborative team in a virtual setting. Teach Like A Champion: Teachers will explore, identify, and practice techniques that will enhance positive behavior and culture in the virtual classroom. Mentors will preview the videos and lesson expectations in the modules and will share in discussions about the process they will implement in working virtually and face to face with their new teacher. 7 Virtual Training Dates * may be face to face 08/07/2020 8:00-11:00am & 1:00-4:00 pm 4:30 pm-6:30 pm 09/15/2020 10/13/2020 11/10/2020 12/08/2020 01/12/2021* 02/09/2021* 03/11/2021*

Beginning Teacher Training ( Non MPA recipients-mentor teachers included) 7 Virtual Training Dates * may be face to face 4:30 pm-6:30 pm 09/17/2020 10/15 /2020 11/12/2020 12/10/2020 01/14/2021* 02/11/2020* 03/11/2020* Series will focus on foundational principles in best practices and research based pedagogy. New/novice teachers will gain understanding and explore strategies for student engagement in the virtual space of teaching and learning. Topics will include: Student management in a virtual setting Powerful 1st teach components Differentiated Instruction Marzano s high yield strategies SPED/Gifted and Talented students ELL teaching strategies
