Tidal Theory posits that planets form from condensed materials close to the sun, a concept pioneered by Sir James H. Jeans and Sir Harold Jeffreys. Jeans proposed continuous matter creation in the universe, while Jeffreys explored the solar system's origin and latitude variation through astronomical research. Learn more about these renowned English physicist and mathematician figures who contributed significantly to our understanding of the universe.

  1. JEANS JEANS - - JEFFREYS JEFFREYS TIDAL THEORY TIDAL THEORY

  2. Tidal Theory Planets are formed from condensed materials from the sun. The theory was proposed by Sir James H. Jeans (1877 1946) and Sir Harold Jeffreys.

  3. James Hopwood Jeans English physicist and mathematician who was the first to propose that matter is continuously created throughout the universe.

  4. Harold Jeffreys English astronomer and geophysicist. His other astronomical work includes research into the origin of the solar system and the theory of the variation of latitude.
