  2. Before you Begin Select a job. One of you will need to be the dissection leader, the other needs to be the equipment coordinator. Send your equipment leader to me. The equipment leader needs to pick up all the materials for the dissection and take it back to the table. Move everything except your journal off your desk

  4. Purpose Write in your journal Dissect and identify the parts of a chicken wing to determine how muscles, bones and tendons work together to move the wing.

  5. Question Write in your journal How do the muscular and skeletal system function together to help an organism do work?

  6. Materials Do not write down but check to make sure you have them Dissection tray Dissection kit Gloves Apron Goggles Chicken wing I will bring to you now.

  7. Procedure Do not write down Step 1: Use scissors to carefully cut the wing on the underneath side and peel the skin from the wing.

  10. Conclusion In three or four complete sentences, summarize your observations of the relationship between the skeletal and muscular systems during the dissection.

  11. Clean Up Both partners will work together to clean up. Throw chicken wing into the trash Wash utensils COMPLETELY in the buckets. I don t want to see any chicken gunk left on my utensils! Put utensils back in kit. Return all materials to the exact place you got them from. Fold the apron neatly and put it back in the box. Take off your gloves and throw them in the trash. Wipe down desk with Clorox wipes Wash your hands Put your journal away
