Setting Boundaries Keeping Secrets Trusting adults should never ask us to keep secrets All secrets can be told Secrets we can keep No one is in danger Ex. your sister s birthday surprise If there i something going on in your life that makes you feel nervous, scared, or hurt then tell a trusted adult, even if you ve been told to keep it a secret.

Setting Boundaries Internet Safety Do not talk to people that you do not know Anyone could be anyone Do not share information with anyone online Never meet up with anyone from online Be careful what you post Once something is online it is no longer safe and secure Once something is online it is there forever If something strange happens while you are online, get away from it and tell an adult right away You can never be too safe Be cautious Make sure privacy settings are set Make sure accounts are set to private

Our schools, just like our lives are more about what we give than what we get. Visible Learning Goals 4th and 5th grade students will list 3 boundaries and why they are important If you are not sure if a secret can be told, tell your teacher or your counselor
