The Pacific Statistics Development Governance Committee oversees strategic decision-making in regional statistics development matters. It plays a crucial role in providing guidance, recommendations, and oversight on statistical issues. The committee collaborates with various entities to enhance statistical governance in the Pacific region. Key objectives include monitoring progress, reviewing technical proposals, and coordinating with donors and development partners. Additionally, efforts are being made to tailor questionnaires, support data use in reporting, develop a regional SDG dashboard, work on gender statistics, and monitor the performance of the Samoa Pathway using SDG indicators.
