What Is the Dashboard? The Dashboard provides parents and educators with meaningful information on school and district progress so they can participate in decisions to improve student learning.
All Indicators Are Back! And in Color! All state measures will have a color, except for the College/Career Indicator (CCI) which will be Status Only.

Colors: All About Improvement Change returns to the Dashboard Allows local educational agencies (LEAs) to show how much they have grown from 2021 22 school year
When Will We See the 2023 Dashboard? December 15, 2023 Prior to release Private Previews of Data to LEAs
2023 Support Determinations Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Released with the Dashboard Districts, county offices of education, and Charter Schools Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI)/ Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) Released in early 2024 Schools
What Colors Bring to the Dashboard Last year's "Status Only" Dashboard left schools and LEAs with only five categories of performance. Colors are your chance to shine bright by displaying your improvement!
Academic Performance Indicators Improvement of three points from 2022 will get you an orange, yellow, green, or blue.
Chronic Absenteeism Indicator A decline of just 0.5 percentage points from 2022 will get you an orange, yellow, green, or blue. A decline of 3 percentage points or more from 2022 can get you a yellow, green, or blue.
Graduation Rate Indicator If your graduation rate is over 68 percent, an increase of just 1 percentage point from 2022 will get you a yellow, green, or blue.
Suspension Rate Indicator For all schools and elementary, unified, and kindergarten through grade twelve districts, a decline of just 0.3 percentage points from 2022 will get you an orange, yellow, green, or blue. For high school districts, a decline of just 0.5 percentage points from 2022 will get you an orange, yellow, green, or blue.
English Learner Progress Indicator (ELPI) Improvement will be determined by the State Board of Education (SBE) at their September Board meeting!
College/Career Indicator (CCI) First time on the Dashboard since 2019 Status Only in 2023 Chance to shine by showing improvement in 2024

Priority One Teacher Data Display information from the 2021 22 Teacher Assignment Monitoring Outcomes (TAMO) reports within Local Measure Priority One.
Least Restrictive Environment Data Display information through a direct link on the main Dashboard web page.
Participation Rate Alignment ELPI will have a revised participation rate to align with how the Dashboard combines the participation rates in the Academic Performance Indicators.
Differentiated Assistance Both LEAs and Charter Schools will be eligible for Differentiated Assistance based on the 2023 Dashboard Differentiated Assistance support been extended from a duration of one year to two years
Additional Changes by SBE The 2023 Accountability Workplan includes additional changes to the Dashboard that needs SBE approval. Accountability Coordinators will receive full details of any additional changes following the September SBE meeting.
