Objectives By the end of this lesson you will be able to: 1- recall different types of questions. 2- build different types of questions correctly. 3- practice rising and falling intonation while asking Yes/No questions.
1- Questions: We use the present simple tense to talk about daily routines. E.g. when do you have English? Model answer Read and listen to the reordered questions. While listening: Notice the noun-verb inversion. Notice the rising intonation with Yes/No questions Notice the falling intonation with WH-questions. 1- When do we have English ? 2- How often will we have lectures? 3- Can we choose partners in groupwork? 4- Will we start early? 5- How many hours a day do we study? Stressed words and intonation: While asking questions, our voice generally goes up or down at the end. This is called intonation. - WH-questions have a falling intonation.
