  2. Objectives By the end of this lesson you will be able to: 1- recall different types of questions. 2- build different types of questions correctly. 3- practice rising and falling intonation while asking Yes/No questions.

  3. 1- Questions: We use the present simple tense to talk about daily routines. E.g. when do you have English? How do you go to school? 2- There are -questions and Yes/No questions. - Listen and write down the questions you hear in the right column: WH/questions Yes/No questions Ministry of Education-2020 lesson 2.2 Talking about college

  4. Model answer WH/questions Yes/No questions Do you get up early? Do you go to the gym? What time do we come to class? How often do you have lectures? When do you do independent work? Reorder the words to get meaningful questions: 1- do / when / have / English / we ? 2- have / lectures/ we / will / how often ? 3- groupwork / we / can / in / partners / choose ? 4- start / we / will / early ? 5- a day / hours / study / How many / we / do ?   6. Model answer Read and listen to the reordered questions. While listening: Notice the noun-verb inversion. Notice the rising intonation with Yes/No questions Notice the falling intonation with WH-questions. 1- When do we have English ? 2- How often will we have lectures? 3- Can we choose partners in groupwork? 4- Will we start early? 5- How many hours a day do we study?   7. Stressed words and intonation: While asking questions, our voice generally goes up or down at the end. This is called intonation. - WH-questions have a falling intonation.
