Coil insulation includes 5 mil Kapton caps and b-staged adhesive on the pole and midplane. Quench resistor insulation comprises 1 mil Kapton and adhesive.   2. Coil insulation: 5 mil Kapton caps (and b- staged adhesive) on pole and midplane

  3. Quench resistor insulation: 1 mil Kapton (and adhesive)

  4. Collar insulation: 2 x 5 mil Kapton caps

Summary Between coil and heater: 2 x 1 mil Cable insulation minimum (2 wrap layers, 48% overlap each) 2 mil Teflon + 1.5 mil adhesive (thermal only no insulating value) 5 mil Kapton cap (with seam) + 1.5 mil b-staged adhesive 1 mil heater Kapton + 1.5 mil adhesive 2 layers of Kapton minimum everywhere Between heater and collar: 1 mil heater Kapton + 1.5 mil adhesive 5 mil Kapton + 1.5 mil b-staged adhesive 5 mil Kapton+ 1.5 mil b-staged adhesive 2 layers of Kapton minimum everywhere (3 layers in body, ends staggered for 2 layers)
