WHAT TO USE IN YOUR DIALOGUE JOURNALIST Greetings: Hello/ Good evening Mr or Mrs / Thank you for accepting this interview Introduce yourself: My name is / I am a journalist from BBC/ CNN/ CBS/ FOX news Ask some questions about the name, date of birth, age, nationality, country of origin, City of residence, job/ occupation, family status, children, hobbies, personality Greetings: Thanks very much/ Thank you so much / nice to meet you/ goodbye CELEBRITY Answer the questions: My name is.../ I am.../ I come from.../ I live in.../ I was born on... I have got.../ I love... React: Of course!/ Well / Umm/ You re welcome/ Nice to meet you too/ It was a pleasure
SAMPLE DIALOGUE The journalist: Hello Mrs Angelina Jolie. Thank you for accepting this interview. I am a journalist from BBC news Mrs A. Jolie: Hello Sir. Nice to meet you. The journalist: Can you introduce yourself? Mrs A. Jolie: Yes! Of course! My first name is Angelina and my last name is Jolie. The journalist: When is your birthday? Mrs A. Jolie: My birthday is on 4thJune. The journalist: How old are you? Mrs A. Jolie: I am 41 years old. The journalist: Really? You look much younger! Where are you from? Mrs . A. Jolie: I am from Los Angeles in the state of California. The journalist: What is your nationality and occupation? Mrs A. Joli: I am an American actress, filmmaker and humanitarian. The journalist: I see That s interesting. Are you married? Mrs Angelina Jolie: Well, no, I m not. Brad Pitt and I separated in 2016 . The journalist: I m sorry. How many children have you got? Mrs Angelina Jolie: We have got six children . The journalist: What are your activities at the moment? Mrs Angelina Jolie: I work for the United Nations and I help refugees all other the world. I think it is important to help people. The journalist: What are your hobbies? Mrs Angelina Jolie: I love cooking for my children. The journalist: Great! Can you describe yourself? Mrs A. Joli: I am rather dynamic and very generous. The journalist: Thank you very much Mrs Angelina Jolie for this interview. Mrs A. Joli: You re welcome .
