  2. Week 2 Spelling Lists Look Cover Write check your spelling words in your book. Record your list words using red for the consonants and blue for the vowels. Then complete an activity from the spelling choice board.

  4. Spelling (20 minutes) Look Cover Write Check your words. Complete an activity from the Spelling Choice Board.

  5. Fruit Break/ Brain Break: Grab a piece of fruit or have a 10 minute break to go outside reset, refresh and restart.

  6. Read works and Read Theory Complete the reading passage and comprehension questions that have been provided by your class teacher in the google classroom. This should take you 40-45 minutes to complete. www.readtheory.org

  7. Writing -Editing Rewrite the passage making the corrections listed at the bottom of the slide.

  15. Brain Break: Go outside and lie on the ground look up at the clouds. See if you can make some pictures with the clouds as they are moving. Give yourself 5 minutes to do this task.

People from around the world attend the major sporting event as an athlete or spectator. Athletes train hard to be selected and participate in a range of sporting events to break personal and world records and to win a gold, silver or bronze medal. Major international cities nominate themselves to go into the running to be selected as the next host city. Being the host city of the Olympics has its advantages and disadvantages. In 2000 the Olympics were held in Sydney. This year they are being held in Tokyo. Your task is to: Research the history of the Olympic host cities and the selection process Identify the advantages and disadvantages to having the Olympics in your city Use your findings to create a powerpoint, poster or pamphlet Make sure to present information in your own words your own words, use use reliable sources reliable sources and include images include images.
