Capturing The Joy Of Being A Christian Learning To Rejoice Always 1 Thessalonians 5:16
Joy In Forgiveness When the burden of sin is lifted, there is great cause for rejoicing Acts 8:5- 8; 8:36-39; 16:32-34. It is then we pass from death into life John 5:24; Romans 8:1. Moreover, as we walk with Him, Jesus intercedes for us Hebrews 7:25; 9:24; 1 John 1:7.
Joy In Fellowship Joy In Fellowship With God With God Before our salvation, we were alienated from God Colossians 1:19-23. Now we are in fellowship with Him 1 Corinthians 1:9. This should cause us to rejoice tremendously 1 John 1:1-4.
Joy In Fellowship Joy In Fellowship With Christians With Christians At baptism, the Lord adds us to His church Acts 2:47; 1 Corinthians 12:13. This fellowship should be especially meaningful to us Philippians 1:3-11; 1 Thessalonians 3:6-10. It should bring us much joy and encouragement Acts 2:46; Romans 1:8-12.
The Joy of Heavenly The Joy of Heavenly Citizenship Citizenship Though we may grow comfortable in this world, it is not our home Philippians 3:20-21. In heaven we will be greatly rewarded Matthew 5:12. Jesus reminds us that this is true cause for rejoicing Luke 10:20
