  5. WHAT IS LIFELONG LEARNING? Life wide, voluntary, and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons Learning that enhances social inclusion, active citizenship, and personal development (AACN & AAMC, 2010, p. 27).

  6. IMPORTANCE OF LIFELONG LEARNING Advantages of lifelong learning include: Increased personal and professional growth due to the challenge of ideas and beliefs. Enhanced job success/patient safety. Increased self-confidence and self-esteem. Decreased risk aversion and increased adaptability. Enhanced and satisfying personal life. Start by taking a time management course. Evaluate and adopt planning tools and effectiveness techniques. It s working. Focus on your priorities & daily plan. Keep up the good work. Use periodic reviews to be sure you re planning around what matters most in your life. You have mastered planning. Make sure you re in control of your planning rather than letting it control you.
