For this gathering of PPTA Te Wehengarua Seek knowledge for understanding Have purpose in all that you do Stand tall, be strong Let us show respect for each other

  2. Why are we having this meeting? This meeting is important even if we think it is highly unlikely our school will become a charter school because: It will turn the boards mind to the issue and prompt discussion and reflection on what the teachers at their school think about this issue. It is a way for PPTA to track opposition to charter schools.

  3. Motions That the PPTA Te Wehengarua branch of [insert name here] affirm our desire to remain as a state school. That PPTA Te Wehengarua branch of [insert name here] sign the Resolution Against Charter School Conversion and send a copy of this to the principal and school board.

  4. The Resolution The resolution affirms our opposition to any move towards conversion to becoming a charter. The resolution would be signed and shared with our school board and in our community. It is a way for us as a branch to voice our stance as teachers to our board and community. It is intended to encourage and invite informed conversation about charter schools.
