VISION, MISSION AND MINISTRY People give for a mission/ purpose / programme driven by a clear compelling vision The mission and vision must be in alignment with the reason why we exist as a Christian church Some of these could be short, medium or long-term vision and mission Whatever it is, it should be so clearly spelt out that members will know and will be persuaded to give once, or regularly according to the needs

  5. Why do we need a culture of Giving Why do we need a culture of Giving Healthy Christians give Offerings are a measure of our spiritual health I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. (2 Cor. 8:8) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matt. 6:21) You excel in so many ways in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving. (2 Cor. 8:7) If we don t create a culture of giving, we will not grow into a healthy church remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:36)
