4. The Sources of Libyan Civil Law The law of Libya has historically been influenced by Ottoman, French, Italian, and Egyptian sources. Libya has moved towards a legal system based on sharia, but with various deviations from it. 3

5. Conclusion Civil law are laws that care about its citizens wellbeing and for Libya it was created long ago by European and African countries. 4
