Introduction Civil law is the part of a country's set of laws which is concerned with the private affairs of citizens, for example marriage and property ownership, rather than with crime. 2
The Sources of Libyan Civil Law The law of Libya has historically been influenced by Ottoman, French, Italian, and Egyptian sources. Libya has moved towards a legal system based on sharia, but with various deviations from it. 3
Conclusion Civil law are laws that care about its citizens wellbeing and for Libya it was created long ago by European and African countries. 4
