  2. Our Curriculum is delivered through a approach CARING, LOVING and NURTURING following in the footsteps of Jesus.

  3. As a Catholic School St Michael s Places Christ at the Centre of all that it does. This means integrating Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church into every aspect of learning, teaching and the whole of school life, which is why our long term Curriculum overviews have to include the 5Ws in all aspects of learning: Welcome Word Worship Welfare Witness And the GOLDEN THREADS run through all aspects of teaching and learning, these are: Gospel Values, Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural British Values Social Justice teaching Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education

What key facts do they need to know? On the post it notes please record what our world is like today for our children things that impact on their lives, both positive and negative aspects, considering their future too.

  10. How Teaching Staff deliver lessons? Through enabling the chn to Discover, Inspire, Achieve, Celebrate and Grow. 1. Discover new skills, new knowledge, find new ways to tackle problems, 2. Inspired by visual resources, practical resources, visits, enriching activities, trips, visitors to school, how to motivate and engage all of our children. Inspired by what they enjoy/like/want to find out. 3. Achieve to be given the opportunity to be proud of what they can do across the whole of the curriculum in PE, Art, Music, Writing, Reading, History, Science and beyond. 4. Celebrate to provide opportunities for children to share what they have made, read, written, solved in and out of school to other children, adults, parents/carers, wider community 5.Grow To grow with a richer knowledge, understanding and skill-base and to grow in the physical and emotional sense.

Suggestions: Parents- aspirations week share the jobs/vocations that they have Previous students of St Michael s share their learning and work journey Careers fair University links College careers Developing links with Local businesses Stronger Parish links Vocations talks from people in vocations Whitefield horticultural More Secret Readers Reading Evening to sit with your child and share a book before bedtime

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of slander against you because of me. Be glad and rejoice for your reward is great in heaven; they persecuted the prophets before you in the very same way Values: Service & Sacrifice
