Requirements for Graduation Completion of All Required Credits Community Service Hours Completed 75 hours MUST be completed by May 1st Ms. Fraser has a bulletin board in A100 posted with opportunities Obligations Cleared (5/19) All obligations MUST be cleared before graduation tickets are issued Obligations include computers, books, unpaid parking fines, any property belonging to CCPS/CHS, and time owed for disciplinary or attendance reasons Completion of Final Exams Senior exams begin Tuesday, May 23rdand end Friday, May 26th Senior Make Up Exams are Tuesday, May 30th Attendance at All Mandatory Graduation Events

Important Dates Prom Tickets on Sale: Monday, April 24th Friday, May 5th If you have a guest (not a CHS student) - MUST have a completed Guest Pass Application All guests must be under 21 years of age Guest Pass Applications due by 3:00 pm Friday, May 5th Ticket sale limitations are not anticipated but may occur

  8. Important Dates Honor Cords Monday, May 15ththrough Friday, May 19th In the Cafeteria During Lunch Shifts $5 Achieved honor roll status 12 of 15 possible times (the final marking period of a graduate s senior year is not considered) Students can check the list for their name

  9. Important Dates Senior Exams Tuesday, May 23rd Mods 2B & 4B Wednesday, May 24th Mods 1A & 3A Thursday, May 25th Mods 1, 1B, 3 & 3B Friday, May 26th Mods 2, 2A, 4 & 4A

  10. Important Dates Senior Breakfast Friday, May 26th(8:30 am 9:30 am) Report to Mod 1 Last Day of Senior Finals (2, 2A, 4, 4A) Last Day of Classes for Seniors Last Day for Seniors at Career & Tech

  11. Important Dates Monday, May 29th Memorial Day - Schools Closed Tuesday, May 30th Senior Make Up Exams/Computer Collection Seniors DO NOT attend CHS unless they have an exam to make up or a computer to return Wednesday, May 31st Computer Collection Seniors DO NOT attend CHS unless they have a computer to return

  12. Mandatory Graduation Event #1 Thursday, June 1st Graduation Rehearsal Arrive at CHS at 8:00 am 8:30 am to Noon Attire: Cap and Gown Senior Class Photo Graduation tickets will be issued if all obligations are cleared obligations due May 19th

  13. Appropriate Dress Under Caps and Gowns Students must wear the following: White button down dress shirt with dark tie (no bow ties) or white blouse Black dress slacks (no tan, brown, blue, khaki, etc.) Black dress shoes, dress boots, or dress sandals (no dressy flip-flops or sneakers are permitted) (no tan, brown, blue, white, etc.) Dark socks with shoes/boots OR An appropriate dress or skirt/blouse combination Black dress shoes or black dress sandals (no dressy flip-flops are permitted) Jewelry is permitted as long as it is not worn on the gown itself Service awards and honor pins may be worn on the gown Caps may not be decorated!

  14. Graduation Tickets Tickets will be issued at the first rehearsal if all obligations are cleared (5/19) laptop & charger must be handed in! Obligations include: Unpaid fines (parking) Computer & Charger Textbooks or Media Center books Uniforms (Athletic & JROTC) Detentions or other time owed EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE TEN (10) TICKETS (Subject to Change) Please review the Senior Booklet for information regarding handicapped/interpreter seating (5/19)

  15. Mandatory Graduation Event #2 Friday, June 2nd Senior Farewell at CHS (Students) Report to Aux Gym at 8:30 am Begins at 9:00 am Department Awards Attire: Cap and Gown Rehearsal for Processing and Recessing Senior Picnic (optional) 11:00 am 2:00 pm

  16. Mandatory Graduation Event #3 Monday, June 5th Graduation Rehearsal Arrive at CHS at 8:00 am 8:30 am to Noon Attire: Casual

  17. Graduation Events Tuesday, June 6th Senior Awards Night (Students/Parents/Guests) By Invitation Only Arrive by 5:30 pm Event begins at 6:00 pm in Auditorium Attire: Business Casual No Sneakers or Flip-Flops

  18. Mandatory Graduation Event #4 Thursday, June 8th Graduation Rehearsal at McDaniel College Arrive at 7:30 am Practice from 8:00 am to 10:00 am Attire: Casual Consider wearing the shoes you will wear at Graduation

  19. Graduation Thursday, June 8th@ 1:00 pm McDaniel College Gill Gymnasium - Graduates arrive at 12:00 pm (noon) - Report to the Auxiliary Gymnasium @ 12:30 pm - Doors to Gill open at 12:15 pm for ticket holders - Graduation begins at 1:00 pm sharp - Attire: Cap and Gown (no sneakers or flip-flops)

  20. Graduation Gill Gymnasium Between the stadium and the golf course Plan ahead Traffic will be heavy in Westminster between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm Arrive early as parking may require walking a distance to Gill Gymnasium Seating is first-come, first-serve The Outer Doors to Gill are Locked at 12:45 pm Prior to the seniors processing into the gymnasium Doors are unlocked after the procession is finished Exit the Building Immediately After the Event Graduates will recess to the Aux. Gym to get diplomas and exit from there Make arrangements to meet your student outside

  21. Things to Emphasize with Seniors Senioritis Semester two classes count Senior Week Safety Know where your student is going and with whom Stay in touch Continue to Follow the School Expectations and Rules They apply to off campus events as well Can jeopardize participation in graduation Enjoy Celebrate! Be Safe!
