Investigation of Potato Slices in Various NaCl Solutions
Experiment conducted by the National Team of Iran at IYNT 2013 involving slicing potatoes into rectangular bars and immersing them in NaCl solutions of different concentrations to observe how the slices behave. The experiment aimed to study biological side contouring, propagation regulation, and the impact of salt concentrations on the potato slices.

Problem 31.Slice potato Slice a potato into a large number of long similar rectangular bars 5 cm long. Prepare stock solutions of NaCl of six various concentration from zero to a saturated solution place the slices into the solutions . Observe and investingate the behavior of the slices. Contouring the experiment In the first stage we had six long similar rectangular bars(4cm). We made some solutions with different sup of salt and put the potatoes in them. We had to see the changes National Team of IRAN, IYNT 2013 4/10/2013 6

Observation Changes: According to the propagation regulation we saw that they are softer than first. They are shorter. The colors had been changed. National Team of IRAN, IYNT 2013 4/10/2013 11
Conclusion According to Propagation regulation we gather that the potato in the cup with saturated solution will be darker and the size of it would be smaller. The size of potato in cup with: 0 >1/4>1/3>1/2>1>saturated Spoons of salt. National Team of IRAN, IYNT 2013 4/10/2013 12
