What does this sign mean? -
Some helpful tips Count the objects so you know how many you are starting with. Put this number in your head. Then count back the amount being taken away. Count carefully and slowly. You could use your fingers to help you count back. Maybe you would like to use some objects. You could use a number line to check one less then continue counting back the correct amount.
Example: - 4 = 2 Put 6 in your head then count back 4 times: 5,4,3,2
Have a go: - 4 = 4
Have a go: - 2 = 5
Can you count back from amount larger than ten? - 4 = 7
