Why the 10 commandments? The law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3:24
How does the law lead us to Christ? We quickly see that we cannot keep it God is holy. We quickly see that we have a great need to be made right with God in a different way than through the law. We need a Savior
God provided a Savior for us. But now a righteousness from God, apart from the law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Romans 3:21-22
God provided a Savior for us. We know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. Galatians 2:16
God provided a Savior for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
