A Wise Woman Recognizes Wickedness (Prov. 11) She knows God Hates Dishonesty (Proverbs 11:1): Of seven things the Lord hates, three deal with lies (Proverbs 6:6-19) Dishonesty results in destruction (Revelation 21:8) A wicked man does deceptive work (11:18) She knows Wickedness Leads to Destruction (Proverbs 11:5): Wickedness leads to personal destruction (11:5, 1 Cor. 15:33) Wickedness leads to widespread destruction (11:11, Prov. 14:34) She knows Wickedness Is Falsely Confident (Proverbs 11:2): Wickedness is devoid of wisdom (11:12, 1 Cor. 1:20) The reward of wickedness is equally false (11:29, 27, 31)
A Wise Woman Knows Right From Wrong (Prov. 12) She knows to ask for help (12:1) She takes criticism (instruction) well (12:1) She heeds counsel doesn t trust her own opinions (12:15) She chooses friends carefully (12:26) She knows that words matter (12:17-23) She speaks truthfully (12:17) She speaks helpfully (12:18, 25) She speaks peacefully (12:20) She knows that work matters (12:24) She works honestly and diligently (12:25, 27) She works to be approved by God (2 Tim. 2:15)
A Wise Woman Lives for God (Proverbs 13) She accepts CORRECTION (13:1) Why? To live long and prosper! (Ephesians 6:1) We are blessed through obedience (Genesis 22:18) We have the Scripture to guide us (2 Timothy 3:16-17) She exerts CONTROL (Proverbs 5:18) We are to be diligent in His kingdom (13:4) We show the fruit of the Spirit through self-control (Gal. 5:23) We grow in our faith through self-control (2 Peter 1:5-7)
A Wise Woman Lives for God (Proverbs 13) She weighs the CONSEQUENCES (Proverbs 5:19) Consequences for Wickedness and Wrongdoing Shame (13:5) Overthrown by sin (13:6) Way is Hard (13:15) Proves to be foolish (13:16) Poverty and shame (13:18) Will live in want (13:25) Rewards for Doing Right He is satisfied! (13:25) Guarded (13:6) True riches (13:7) Well advised (13:10) Will be rewarded (13:13) Gains favor (13:15) Honored (13:18)
