One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. R o m a n s 1 4 : 5 - 6 ( E S V )
The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. R o m a n s 1 4 : 5 - 6 ( E S V )

From the moment that we wake up all the way till we go back to sleep, we need to be in constant effort to glorify God in everything we do.

God rewards those who do their best in committing there work to him.
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw each one's work will become manifest, 1 C o r i n t h . 3 : 1 2 - 1 4 ( E S V )
for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 1 C o r i n t h . 3 : 1 2 - 1 4 ( E S V )
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. R o m a n s 8 : 1 8 ( E S V )

And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. M at t . 6 : 1 6 - 1 8 ( E S V )
But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. M at t . 6 : 1 6 - 1 8 ( E S V )

Good works that are done with a desire for self-glorification rather than Gods, are sin. The good work itself isn t sin but the desire behind it is sin.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. R o m a n s 8 : 2 6 ( E S V )
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 1 C o r i n t h . 1 2 : 4 - 7 ( E S V )
Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. P s a l m s 5 4 : 4 ( E S V )
So we can confidently say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me? H e b r ew s 1 3 : 6 ( E S V )
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. P h i l i p p i a n s 4 : 1 9 ( E S V )
