  4. NAVSEA 05Z Update to NSRP Multi Cable Transits and Sealants Fire Resistant Qualification Test Requirements for MIL-DTL-24705B Penetrators, Multiple Cable, Electric Cable (MCTs) 24705/1, 24705/3 and 24705 /4 MIL- I-3064 Insulation Electrical Plastic Sealer Bothrequire new test requirements for both the qualification and retention testing. Fire stop test requirements of MIL-STD-3020 Appendix D. Cable Transit Test Configuration and Appendix F have been invoked. Funding is needed to update the specifications. Shock Testing is required prior to Fire Resistance Test for QPL products to requalify. This change impacts QPL Approval for Existing and New Cable Transits, Sealing Systems and Sealants. Multiple TWH Stakeholder concurrence is required and has been obtained. Warfare Center review of both Qualification and Retention Test Requirements and the Submitted Vendor Test Plans is needed. NAVSEA is working to resolve the test plan review approval issues to get comments to Vendors and allow test plan to relieve product supply chain issues and new qualification of the NSRP developed MCTs and Sealing Systems. DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release. Distribution is unlimited.
