1 : Who has to do an Internship and why? If you have less than 210 ECTS in your Bachelor you will have to obtain the missing ECTS during your master studies prior to the release of the subject of your master thesis (ie after the second semester) Even if you have studied more than 3 years abroad, uni-assist might convert your credits to only 180 ECTS. The department Pr fung und Praktikum will send an email to all students in the first semester, who will have to obtain 30 ECTS credits. The master degree can only be awarded to students who have gained a total of 300 ECTS credits. 2. Process What do I have to do when? 3. Minimum Requirements Internship Company Content of the internship according to Module 300 Studyplan Bachelor 1 At least 3 fulltime employees, who are directly working in the department with the intern. 2 The premises of the company are not part of a private flat 3 6 The company has an employee who is responsible for the intern. 4 Transaction volume > 250.000 5 Master students: Obtaining the missing 30 ECTS credits Masteroffice August 2021 6
3. Search for internships Start to search for an internship today! 3. Duration of the Internship and Contract The Internship has a duration of 20 weeks, without holidays. So it is better if you receive a contract for 22 weeks, which is including the holidays. There is a German contract on the Bachelor website, but usually the companies prefer to use their own contracts. 4. Social Insurance Students are exempt from the social insurance during their internship Durch das Urteil des Bundessozialgerichtes vom 17.12.1980 (Az.: 12 RK 10/79) steht rechtskr ftig fest, dass Sie im praktischen Studiensemester nicht der Versicherungspflicht nach den f r abh ngig Besch ftigte geltenden Regeln unterliegen. Certificate for the Intership = Praktikumszeugnis Companies hand out a Certificate for the duration of the internship The certificate is not part of the Praktikumsbericht (= Internship Report) Please upload the Zeugnis in Primus How to upload in Primuss: Go to Antr ge und Nachrichten. Internship Report: Requirements Cover Page There is a sample on the homepage under http://www.bwl.hm.edu/s/b/ba_bwl/praktikum.de.html Amount of Pages Usually 7 to 10 pages (without table of content, bibliography, cover page..) Form Font, font size, line spacing, margins are not regulated Often used are Arial or Times New Roman in Font size 10 11, line spacing 1,5 Language In German or English Signature The report does not have to be signed by your supervisor in the company. 5. Handing in the Internship Report Cover Page You have to sign up for the intership report, as it is treated as an exam in PRIMUSS. Internship Supervisor Cover Page Your supervisor is your contact person during the internship, he or she marks your internship report and might even visit you in your company. In case of a change in company or if you want to terminate the intership permaturely, you have to contact Prof. Dr. Kleine. FAQs "I would like to change my internship company - is this possible?" Please contact your internship supervisor or Prof. Dr. Jens Kleine (jens.kleine@hm.edu). (Note that the approval of the contract must be obtained again and the minimum requirements must be met.) "Is an internship abroad possible? An internship abroad is possible at any time, provided that the minimum requirements (ECTS limits, minimum size of the internship, duration of the internship, etc.) The internship contract should be submitted for signature in at least English. Information on visas, travel conditions, funding opportunities, internship stays abroad and job offers for international internships are available in the bachelor's office; Further information can be found online at www.aiesec.org. FAQs Is there a deadline for uploading the internship certificate on Primuss? There is no specific deadline. Please upload your internship certificate to Primusshoch as soon as you receive it. My internship company requires a signature from the Munich University of Applied Sciences on the internship contract. How do I get this?
