  1. The Cost of College Colleges charge you tuition to attend. CCRI is state supported and tuition is based on whether or not you are a RI resident. Additional fees (e.g. fees for lab, technology, etc.) are charged each semester. Books and course supplies are purchased separately by you each semester.   3. Your Semester Bill You are billed each semester you attend CCRI. The amount you owe is based on the number of credits you are registered for and additional fees. You may pay your bill using personal funds by check, credit card or cash. Pell grants, Promise scholarships, private scholarships and student loans may also be used to pay your bill.   4. Full-Time & Part-time Status The terms full-time and part-time status at CCRI are tricky to understand. For billing and financial aid purposes a student registered for: 12 to 19 credits is considered full-time. 1 to 11 credits is considered part-time.   5. Graduating in Two Years If you plan to graduate or transfer in two years you must be registered for at least 15 credits per semester (successfully completing 5 courses per semester). If you have been accepted into CCRI as a Promise Scholar, you are required to earn at least 30 credits each academic year to remain eligible to participate in the program. EasyPay Monthly Payment Plan EasyPay is an interest-free monthly payment plan available to all students who meet the payment-plan criteria regardless of financial need.It is offered for the fall, spring and summer semesters.   9. Your Financial Responsibilities If you register for courses but decide not to attend, you must drop the courses via MyCCRI. If you don t officially drop your courses you will have an unpaid balance. You cannot attend CCRI or access transcripts if you have an unpaid balance.   10. Applying for Financial Aid Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is the first step to determine if you are eligible for financial assistance. Apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The FAFSA is used for the following programs.   12. FAFSA Deadlines Complete a FAFSA every year you wish to apply for financial aid and it is available to you as early as October 1st for the upcoming academic year (September - June). High School graduates eligible to participate in the Promise Program must complete a FAFSA each year. CCRI Priority Deadline to submit is July 1st.   13. What Happens After You Submit a FAFSA? When you completed the FAFSA, you listed CCRI s School Code (004916). You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) that will tell you if you are eligible for a Federal Pell grant. CCRI s Financial Aid department will also receive your information and will put together a financial aid package based on your SAR. CCRI s Financial Aid department may require that you submit additional information.   14. Using MyCCRI to View & Pay Your Bill The MyCCRI web portal allows you access to view and pay your bill. It also has your financial aid information. You will view a brief video (five minutes) that shows you the actual view of the billing and financial aid pages on your MyCCRI pages.
