This survey measures the wellbeing (health and happiness) of children and young people in Years 7-13. It asks questions about lifestyle and school life and provides summaries of results to schools, students, parents, and the local council to improve services.

This survey This survey OxWell School Survey 2023 Measures the wellbeing (health and happiness) of children and young people Asks questions about your lifestyle and school life Is for students in Years 7 - 13 Provides summaries of results to schools and to students and parents who are interested Helps the local council improve services

  3. What you need to know What you need to know Taking part is up to you! We don t want to know who you are, and don t ask your name, address, or date of birth We will keep all your responses (the data) safely for a long time (up to 20 years) We won t be able to look properly at the data until after the survey closes in March 2023 It still takes a few weeks to go through the responses. Only then will schools be given some information, but not year group or gender of any student, to ensure you cannot be identified

  4. What the questions are about What the questions are about First we will ask a few things about you, such as your age and whether you were born in the UK The survey asks a lot of questions about your lifestyle, your wellbeing, your safety, and your attitudes (see examples on next slide)

What the questions are about What the questions are about Some of the questions are on sensitive topics like self-harm, bullying, abuse, drugs, and seeking mental health support If you don t want to answer a question, you can just leave it blank and move on If anything makes you feel upset, you can stop at any time If you are very worried, please find an adult you can talk to (e.g. a teacher, parents/carers) You can also go to the Childline website: http://www.childline.org.uk

If you are happy to take part If you are happy to take part OxWell School Survey 2023 You can use the link to the survey that your school gives you, or type the web address into your browser You will also need login details, which your school provides Once you start: The survey takes about 30 minutes Give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to read the instructions and log in When you have finished the survey, please remember to: Click on the arrow to send us your answers Close the browser window by clicking the small cross at the top of the page Thank you for taking part!
