Yukon Grant You may be eligible if you Are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident Have completed 2 years of high school in Yukon, AND Have lived in Yukon for the 2 years right before classes start. Government of Yukon 2
Yukon Grant You may also be eligible if you Have been resident in Yukon: From the age of 14, if younger than 20 when applying; or From the age of 14-18 and for the two years right before classes start. Government of Yukon 3
Yukon Grant A Yukon resident is determined as: An individual who, in the settled routine in their life, makes their home, resides in, and is ordinarily present in Yukon. You may NOT be eligible if you: Are eligible to apply for funding in another jurisdiction. Government of Yukon 4
Yukon Grant To be eligible, your program must be: Full-time; Post-secondary; and At a designated institution. Government of Yukon 5
Yukon Grant Amounts $138/week of study Additional $1500/year to travel outside of Yukon for school. Additional travel amount for students travelling from communities. Government of Yukon 6
Yukon Grant Payments Paid by cheque; Made out in your name; Sent to your school for you to pick up; Usually paid at the beginning of each semester (if you apply on time) Government of Yukon 7

Student Training Allowance Available for students studying at a designated Yukon institution; Minimum $107.00 per week of study; Rate increases with each dependent. Paid bi-weekly; Can be used directly towards tuition costs. Government of Yukon 9
To be eligible for Student Training Allowance You must be: Studying full-time at a designated Yukon institution Living in Yukon for 2 years right before classes start. Your program must be: 3 weeks or longer. Suitable for post-secondary or upgrading classes. Government of Yukon 10
Maximum Funding 170 weeks (total combined funding) Can be used for STA or Yukon Grant Government of Yukon 11
Yukon Excellence Awards How do I earn these awards? Receive 80% final grade in various grade 10, 11, and 12 courses. How do I know how much I have earned? You will receive a letter from the Department of Education at the end of each eligible school year. Government of Yukon 12
Yukon Excellence Awards Can be redeemed for: Tuition and/or book costs Any training or schooling done after high school Complete an application and send in tuition/book receipts to claim your awards. Apply anytime during your school year Government of Yukon 13
Yukon Excellence Awards Excellence Awards expire 10 years after you leave high school. Government of Yukon 14
