Curriculum for Year 10 Students Curriculum for Year 10 Students West Australian Curriculum Courses are designed to be rigorous to prepare students for study in Years 11 and 12 Preparing students for life in a rapidly changing work environment focus on inter-disciplinary skills (STEM) One Australian Curriculum
WACE Requirements WACE Requirements WACE (Western Australian Certificate of Education) Numeracy and Literacy minimum standard Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA) Breadth and Depth requirement Achievement standard English competence
Numeracy and Literacy requirement Numeracy and Literacy requirement (OLNA) (OLNA) All students must have achieved success in OLNA Some students may be exempt from this test depending on their achievement in the NAPLAN in Year 9 Students will sit the first round of OLNA in May Some formal preparation outside of the normal class curriculum practice tests and support are available

OUR PURPOSE IS TO NURTURE YOUNG PEOPLE TO DISCOVER AND CONFIDENTLY EXPRESS THEIR UNIQUE GOD-GIVEN GIFTS IN SERVICE OF THEIR COMMUNITY ATAR Pathway ATAR Pathway Leads to University/TAFE/work Minimum 4 ATAR courses including English ATAR/Literature Recommended for students who: Are self-motivated and like to achieve Can sit and complete at least two hours of homework/study unsupervised Require an ATAR higher than 70 for their chosen course Seek Wisdom Act Justly Love Mercy Walk Humbly

General/Certificate Pathway General/Certificate Pathway Recommended for students who: Prefer to complete most of their work in the classroom Prefer assignments to tests/exams Do not perform well in assessments that have a time limit Have significant time commitments outside school to work/sport etc Are more hands on learners Enjoy practical courses Have a chosen industry in which they wish to work
