Today I’ll be presenting findings from a qualitative study about an e-sexual health intervention, the Online Chlamydia Pathway. This qualitative study took place within a pilot study of the Online Chlamydia Pathway.
A study presented at the BASHH Conference in Oxford 2016 explores the use and appeal of the Online Chlamydia Pathway, an innovative approach to remote clinical management of chlamydia. Developed by the eSTI2 Consortium, this online pathway offers accessible and automated care for individuals diagnosed with chlamydia. The pilot study in Greater London showed promising results in terms of feasibility, acceptability, and safety. The pathway involves text message notifications, online treatment options, and guidance for patients on accessing medication and support services. This research highlights the potential of e-health solutions in sexual health care delivery.
