YACHT AND SHIP BROKER LICENSING PROGRAM
YACHT BROKER DEFINITION A Yacht and Ship Broker is a person who engages in listing, selling, buying and leasing of yachts that he/she does not own.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION DBW Licenses and Regulates Yacht and Ship Brokers selling used vessels, for others, 16ft or longer and less than 300 gross tons. Provides Consumer Protection
QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY FOR A BROKERS LICENSE Be at least 18 years of age; and Has been a licensed California Yacht Broker or Salesperson for at least one year in the past five years. or Owned and operated a marine business in California for a minimum of three continuous years. or Out-of-State Applicants Has been employed, as a yacht broker or yacht salesperson in another state for a minimum of three continuous years.
