WorkReadyNH: Build Skills, Confidence, and Career Success
Program Overview: WorkReadyNH is a practical, tuition-free program designed for job seekers and career builders. It offers specific skills that employers look for in employees, with modules covering showcasing skills, business ethics, effective communication, and more. The course structure is competency-based, including group projects, guest speakers, and mock interviews for skill development. Participants earn two certificates upon completion: WorkReadyNH Certificate issued by the Community College System of NH and National Career Readiness Certificate by ACT, which covers essential workplace skills like applied mathematics and graphic literacy. Eligibility requires being 16 or older, a resident of NH, and scoring 25% or higher in the pre-assessment for reading workplace documents.

History of WorkReadyNH Created in 2011 through a series of round table discussions with business leaders across the state Originally at four NH Community Colleges Funded through NHES by the NH Job Training Fund Now at all NH Community Colleges and ONLINE
WorkReadyNH Participant Eligibility Must be 16 or older Resident of NH Pre-assessment score of 25% or higher for Reading Workplace Documents
