  1. G-C.2.5 Who Dunnit? Activity Overview: Each team receives an envelope containing clues 1-3 and a copy of slide 11. When the team finishes the first 3 problems the teacher gives them a copy of slide 12 so they can determine which envelope number they should choose. If the team answer the clues correctly the next envelope will contain the next 3 problems. If they answer incorrectly the envelope will them they made a mistake and they need to rework the 3 clues to find their error. Tips: Print clues 1-3 and slide 12 on one color paper, clues 4-6 and slide 13 on a second color, and clues 7-9 and slide 14 on a third color. Print copies of slide 16 in all 3 colors. The number you print depends on how many groups and envelopes you have. Print Slide 11 in a fourth color. Start by giving each team an envelope containing clues 1-3 and a copy of slide 11. As the team finishes give them a copy of slide 12 so they can determine which envelope to get. Envelopes Numbers: Blank Slides 2 -4 #23 Slides 5-7 #12 Slides 8 10 #24 Slide 17 #14, #18, #21, # 15, #17, #11 Slide 16 Student Directions: YOUR team s mission is to find the following: Who committed the crime Where did the crime occur How was the crime committed Each group gets an envelope with 3 clues. Your group may ONLY work on one clue at a time. Be sure to circle your team s answer on each clue. Once you have solved the 3 clues raise your hand. Your group will be given information on which envelope one team member will go retrieve from the front table. Your teammate will return with an envelope that will either contain the next three clues or tells your group to try again. There are 9 clues in all. BEST of Luck on your mission.
