  2. What is the total number of dominoes? Write down your first estimate. After each clue, you ll see if your estimate is still a possibility. After each clue, if it is no longer possible write down a new estimate and be prepared to explain why you chose it. As the clues appear, use the information to narrow the possibilities to a smaller set. After each clue, use estimation again to determine which of the remaining answers is the most reasonable. Clue #4 Clue #3 This clue will help you determine whether or not the total is a multiple of 5: The two larger containers are holding the same number. The container in the middle is holding half that number. One of the containers is holding an odd number, and two containers are holding an Clue #3 even number. Is the total even or odd?
