  2. How many packing peanuts are in the vase? As the clues appear, use the information to narrow the possibilities to a smaller set. After each clue, use estimation again to determine which of the remaining answers is the most reasonable. Write down your first estimate. After each clue, you ll see if your estimate is still a possibility. After each clue, if it is no longer possible write down a new estimate and be prepared to explain why you chose it. Clue #3 Clue #3 Eliminate the numbers 39, 48, and 69 since they are not the total. Clue #4 Clue #4 The answer is not a square number. Nor is it two less than a square number. Clue #5 Clue #5 The answer is a composite number with 2 different digits. Clue #6 Clue #6 This final clue will help you to decide if the number is a multiple of 3 - and to decide how many of the objects are blue, red, or yellow: There are 2 more blue objects than yellow objects.
