Volunteer Screening Process Effective July 1, 2022 UPDATED Volunteer Designations Volunteer (formerly Level 1) - Majority (screened per statute) Overnight or Out-of-County Trip Volunteers (formerly Level 2) - Limited (higher accountability; fingerprints will be retained for 3 years to ensure the district is notified of any changes in criminal history) All volunteers expired June 30, 2022 New and returning volunteers should apply at www.collierschools.com/volunteer Prompts volunteers to update their application and review new policies, orientation video, and volunteer handbook Ensures accuracy of rosters 2

Volunteer Screening Process VOLUNTEER Applies online at www.collierschools.com/volunteer Contacts the school to initiate the application review process SCHOOL Invites the volunteer in to verify eligibility (MUST check for VALID US- issued Photo Identification) Sends handbook and orientation video link to volunteer for review Emails volunteer@collierschools.com to request application approval HR will respond once application is approved 3

Volunteer Screening Process Overnight / Out-of-County Trips Overnight or out-of-county trips (not including Lee County) require additional screening (fingerprinting) Formerly fingerprinted volunteers who wish to continue volunteering for overnight or out-of-county field trips must be re-fingerprinted (for retention and monitoring) Fingerprints are done through third party vendor, Fieldprint Cost to fingerprint is $41.25 Schools will submit Fingerprint Authorization Form and two mandatory waivers (FDLE, VECHS) via email to volunteer@collierschools.com for each volunteer needing to be screened 4

Volunteer Screening Process Overnight / Out-of-County Trips Charter School completes Volunteer Authorization Packetwith volunteer and emails completed packet to Volunteer@collierschools.com Volunteer@collierschools.com Request District Volunteer Program Specialist (CCPS) will review Volunteer Authorization Packet for completion and confirm active volunteer status. Review District Volunteer Program Specialist will email instructions to the volunteer to schedule a fingerprinting appointment with Fieldprint. Fingerprint fee is $41.25. Volunteer schedules, pays, and completes the fingerprinting. Once results are received, Applicant Screening notifies District Volunteer Program Specialist with clearance information. FP District Volunteer Program Specialist notifies Charter School of clearance. Cleared 5

  6. Volunteer Screening Process Overnight / Out-of-County Trips Required Documents for Volunteers CCPS Fingerprint Authorization Form FDLE VECHS Waiver FDLE Privacy Statement Waiver *Volunteer must have an active volunteer application on file with CCPS. 6
