  2. The Titanic was to be the biggest, fastest and most luxurious liner ever to be built. It was 882 feet, 9 inches long with a maximum breadth of 92 feet, 6 inches. Her total height, measured from the base of the keel to the top of the bridge, was 104 feet. After just three years, The Titanic was finished - a floating city, ready to set sail on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York

  3. 492 - the number of Titanic passengers who survived. 37% - the percentage of passengers who survived. 61% - the percentage of First Class passengers who survived. 42% - the percentage of Standard Class passengers who survived. 24% - the percentage of Third Class passengers who survived.   4. How long does it take to sink The Titanic model? Make the boat in the diagram, be careful when cutting out. Please do this under adult supervision. Keep the cap on your boat and add weight to the model so that it floats evenly in water. You will need a timer and an iPad or video. Carefully take the cap of the bottle and time how long the model Titanic takes to sink. Video or take a series of photographs to show how the model sinks.
