Talk with a partner about these questions. 1.What are three words to encapsulate the lesson yesterday for you? DO NOW 2. How are you, your communities, hobbies and areas of your life affected by climate change? Share out.
- Climate change intersects with everything - Even though it is a problem that many think solely affects the natural world, because we are connected to and dependent on the natural world, it affects us too THE - Examples: Our health, the food we eat, the factories and materials our cloths come from, the resources our vehicles and energy sources use, our education, government etc. INTERSECTIONS OF CLIMATE CHANGE - Personal climate stories also help argue why climate action is needed and why it's important Question: What are some other ways our lives intersect with climate change?

JOURNAL ENTRY Write a one-page journal entry on how your life intersects with climate change. Answer at least three of the prompts below. Include terms we've covered this week and information from your notes. - In five years, how will your life be different because of the changing climate? How does climate change connect to your bigger picture? - What did you learn or think more about after these activities? - Pick one hobby, interest, sport, experience, etc. In your life. How will it be affected by the climate crisis - Write down some examples of when you experienced the effects of global warming real-time. - What questions arose after watching the videos? - What feelings arise when you think about the climate crisis and how it intersects with your life? - Picture someone in your life. A friend, family member, pet, etc. How will their life intersect with the changing climate? Their hobbies? Interests? Goals? - What do you want to learn more about?
