  6. Request for Qualification (RFQ) Five Qualified Contractors responded to the RFQ Each were scored based on experience, background, proximity and fit All five Contractors were interviewed The top two contractors were invited to move forward to the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

  7. Request for Proposal (RFP) Process Modern Building and United Building Contractors, Inc. were invited to respond to the RFP The RFP is evaluated based on Value and Creativity to the District. Teams proposed Budgets and potential building options based on our Test Fit Requirements as examples Teams interviewed and presented their ideas and cost breakdowns as well as provided clarifications as requested

  8. Fit Test Requirements Contractors were provided with: Space Requirements Descriptions of Spaces and Sqft Based on Staff and Community Input Budget available to complete the project based on the available balance of Bond Funds

  9. Test Fit Breakdown Classroom Areas Library/Dining/Admin Areas

  10. Section Committee Recommendation The DUSD Selection Committee is recommending the DUSD Board Of Trustees approve United Building Contractors, Inc. to move forward with the Design Build Project at Durham Intermediate School.
