  1. Present Perfect Simple

  2. When we use the Present Perfect Simple ? 1: for an action which happened in the past, but we don t mention when exactly. EX : I ve travelled to the UAE twice. 2: for an action which happened in the past and finished, but the results are obvious in the present. EX : I m tired. I ve just finished studying.

  3. Affirmative Subject + Has / Have + p . p + Object I have read the book. He has watched the TV for two hours. They have bought a new house. My father has written five letters. Ahmad has worked today.

  4. Negative Subject + (has, have) + Not + p . p + object Ahmad has not worked today. My father has not written five letters. I have not worked as a teacher for 5 years. They have not bought a new house. Ali has not been to Egypt several times since 2010.

  5. Question Has/Have + subject + p . p +object ? Has Ahmad worked today? Has your father written five letters? Have you worked as a teacher for 5 years? Have they bought a new house? Has Mahmoud been to Egypt several times since 2010?

  6. Time expressions Ever/never: Have you ever traveled to Europe? Just: I have just finished my book. Already: She has already eaten lunch. Not yet: They have not yet arrived. Since: I have been working here since January. For: We have known each other for ten years. Recently: Have you seen that movie recently? Lately: He has not been feeling well lately. So far: I have completed three chapters of the book so far. This week/month/year: We have visited the museum twice this month.
